Arne Hovmand-Olsen, the Danish furniture designer, was born in 1919 and had a passion for drawing and design from a young age. He trained as a cabinetmaker under Peder Olsen Sibast and later studied furniture design in Århus. In 1941, he established his own furniture studio, creating designs in the Scandinavian Modern style. His furniture features clean lines, organic curves, tapered legs, and is made from high-quality woods like teak, mahogany and rosewood. While his designs were initially only sold in Denmark, they later gained popularity in America.
