Midcentury Dining Table in Parchment with Marble Top and Base
Significant lacquered parchment and marble dining table made in Cantu, Italy in 1959. Cantu was for a long time a centre for furniture production of importance designed by great designers such as Gio Ponti, Paolo Buffa and Ico Parisi to name a few.
The table which will seat 6-8 people, has a beautiful hexagon shaped top in Portugese rosé marble and resting on a Portoro marble base. The legs are intricately made with angles and curves really making this table an eye catching piece. Recognized as Italian Mid-Century Modern but with a Hollywood Regency flair. This piece is in it´s original condition and has not been restored or altered.
