Mid Century Designer Umbrella Stand Italy

Here we have a truly uniqe umbrella stand produced in Italy during the 1950’s. It has an organic shaped base with four holes on top where you would put your umbrella. The holder has a solid brass stick in the middle with a round handle at the top finishing it off very elegantly. The colors are red and gold which is original to the piece. Somewhat worn but still vibrant and eye catching. The original concrete weight is also remaining at the bottom. Reminiscent of great designers such as Aldo Tura, Fornasetti and the likes, even though no specific designer can be traced to this particular piece.
