This table lamp feature mold-blown white glass base designed by Helena Tynell for Luxus, Sweden. Variations in glass thickness give the lamps a lovely organic quality. Sticker marked on the top of the base. Luxus, Made in Sweden. Comes with a new fabric black shade. Excellent condition.

Helena Tynell (1918–2016) is best known as a designer for the Riihimäen Lasi Glassworks (1946–1976), but she enjoyed an international career that was remarkably versatile for the time, working in Sweden, the USA and as a longtime designer of lamps and lighting in Germany. She was married to famous designer Paavo Tynell famous for his lamp designs.
